Jainath Someshwara Temple

One of the most important Hanuman temples in Telangana, located on a hill near the Godavari river. Lord Anjanna Swamy (Hanuman) is worshipped here in a unique standing posture. Receives 50,000+ pilgrims on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Famous for devotees fulfilling vows (mottu) by shaving their heads.

One of only three Saraswathi (Goddess of Learning) temples in India — the others are in Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh. Every year, parents bring children for Vidhyarambham (the initiation of learning) here on Dussehra. Located on the scenic banks of the Godavari river.

An ancient Shiva temple in Telangana, also known as Dakshina Kasi, the 'Kashi of the South', believed to date back over a thousand years to the Chalukya era. The complex also enshrines Sri Rajarajeswari and Anantha Padmanabha Swamy, and its sacred bathing pond, Dharma Gundam, is considered equal in merit to a bath in the Ganges.

A highly revered Telangana folk deity temple — Lord Mallanna (a form of Shiva, also called Shiva Bhakta Shiva) is unique to Telangana's tradition. Receives one of the largest pilgrim gatherings in Telangana during the annual Komuravelli Mallanna festival (Sivarathri). Located 40 km from Hyderabad.
