A Jyotirlinga shrine of Lord Shiva and one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites, set above 3,500 metres in the Himalayas. Legend attributes its founding to the Pandavas, and the temple — reached only by a roughly 16-km trek and open a few months each year due to snow — survived the devastating 2013 Uttarakhand floods largely intact.
